Ordering

What size should I buy?

Our women's clogs are true to size, so you can order your usual shoe size with confidence. For men's Chunky Tread clogs, which feature a slightly higher back for added security, we recommend going up a size from your usual shoe size. This will make it easier to slip them on and off, especially if you have wider feet or a high arch. You can also try wearing them with or without the insole, as both options provide great comfort.

If you're between sizes, you can add an extra insole to fill any slack, similar to the effect of wearing a thicker sock.

What are Backdoorshoes made from?

Our shoes are made from a unique special formula of expanded foam - no rubber at all! It's a foam-like substance has been chosen for its durability, meaning it will not perish or crack.

Are your shoes vegan?

Yes! Backdoorshoes are 100% vegan, made without any animal testing or animal-derived materials.

Delivery

What happens if my parcel is lost?

Your Backdoorshoes® are insured should they not arrive, but be assured 99.9% of parcels were delivered in good time again this year.
In the rare situation where a parcel is delayed we need to allow up to 21 days from the order date before we can consider them lost and therefore we cannot replace or refund these orders until 21 days have passed.

How long will delivery take?

Orders placed by 1:30 pm (Monday to Friday) are dispatched the same day, regardless of postage choice.

Our free UK delivery (no signature required) typically arrives within 3-5 working days. For faster delivery, our 'Rapid Tracked' service is available for an additional fee, usually arriving in 1-2 working days.

We do not currently offer delivery to Europe due to issues with fulfilment and customs.

How do I exchange my shoes?

The swiftest solution is to immediately order the ones you'd like and simply post the unwanted shoes back at your convenience with a note for us to refund and your order number etc.

If you prefer, we can swap your pair once we receive them. Please include on the note the original order number and desired replacement sizing/style.

If the exchanged item is of higher value, you will need to pay the price difference, and we will contact you.
If the exchanged item is of lower value, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Where do I return my shoes to?

If your shoes are unsuitable, please return them to us with your order number and details, and we will issue a refund for the goods (excluding postage and packaging). Refunds may take up to 10 days to process.

For exchanges, we kindly ask that you cover the postage cost to return the item, and we will cover the return postage back to you via 2nd class (please note that boots may require additional postage).

Refunds will be initiated within 5-7 working days after we receive and inspect the returned product and will be processed back to the original payment method.

How long do I have to return my shoes?

Requests for exchange or refund must be made within 60 days of the purchase date.

Footwear must be unused, unworn, and in their original condition with all tags and packaging intact.

Items showing signs of wear or damage due to improper use will not be eligible for refund or exchange.

What if my item is defective?

If you received a defective or incorrect item, please contact Customer Support immediately at customerservice@backdoorshoes.co.uk or on 01202 232357. 

We will cover the shipping costs and ensure you receive a replacement or full refund.

Shoe Care

How do I care for my shoes?

Our unique foam material will slowly mould to your unique foot shape and your Backdoorshoes® will fit like a glove in no time.

Your Backdoorshoes® are totally waterproof : Ideally hand-wash them in cold or luke-warm soapy water, or the washing machine (max 30 degrees), just don't use hot water as this may damage the foam material. Insoles can be washed in the washing machine on a low temperature.

Backdoorshoes® should not be left exposed to high temperatures. High temperatures will shrink your Backdoorshoes® so keep them completely in the shade outside or just leave them inside!

My clogs have become a little squashed, how do I reshape them?

Don't panic they are practically indestructible!

This is an easy one : simply blow your clogs with a hair dryer on warm/hot for just 40 seconds to a minute from around 10cm away. You'll see them magically pop back into shape.

Guarantee

Do you offer a guarantee?

We are committed to delivering high-quality, durable EVA clogs that you can rely on for years and are so confident of our quality that we proudly offer a 5-Year No-Split Guarantee on all Backdoorshoes garden clogs. 

If your Backdoorshoes split due to a manufacturing defect within five years from the date of purchase, we will replace them at no additional cost to you.

How do I register for the guarantee?

Orders placed directly on our website will automatically be eligible for the guarantee. For purchases made elsewhere please register your purchase with us to activate your 5-year guarantee.
